Barton Cottage Monteagle Assembly Monteagle, Tennessee Completed 2004 Jack Ingle Contractor To add a master bedroom wing to this 1940’s ranch-style cottage, we had to angle it back because of the lot line. The semicircular screened porch was formed by swinging around the ridgeline of the hipped roof. A curving arch was added to the middle bay of the porch to further emphasize the magnificent view of the ravine beyond. The shed dormer of the addition acts like a skylight, letting in light to the bedroom, bathroom and closet area.
