This cottage was one of the plainest among the hundred and seventy Victorian era gems of the Monteagle Assembly, a “Jim Walter special” according to the owner.  We added a master bedroom and bath, enlarged the kitchen and added a spacious screened porch.  We also changed the siding and reworked the front gable to give the house a better sense of scale.
